South London Garden

Helen was appointed to design low maintenance courtyard garden for a young couple with a toddler and baby on the way.  The garden had to be low maintenance to fit in with a busy lifestyle and have a BBQ for entertaining.  Due to the size of the garden, bench seating with storage below was incorporated to avoid the need for garden furniture.

 

Drought tolerant evergreens, perennials and multi-stem trees and espaliered apple trees make the most of this small garden with in-built seating with storage, BBQ and diagonal stone planking to evoke maritime boardwalks and add dynamism to the design.
